Al-Hafiz
The One who safeguards all things and protects all beings from harm and misfortune.
Hûd 11:57
Al-Hafiz declares that Allah preserves everything He has created, watches over His servants, and guards their trusts. In Surah Hud 11:57 the Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) says to his people: 'Indeed, my Lord is, over all things, Preserver.' Ayat al-Kursi (Al-Baqarah 2:255) closes: 'Their preservation tires Him not; He is the Most High, the Magnificent.' The servant who reflects on this name seeks refuge in Allah when leaving home—it is Al-Hafiz who guards them in the street, on the road, from unseen dangers. They entrust their children, their family, their lifespan, and their iman to Him.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): 'O young man, let me teach you some words: Guard Allah (His commands and prohibitions), and He will guard you. Guard Allah, and you will find Him before you.'
