Al-Haqq
The One whose existence is certain and unchanging—the embodiment of absolute truth and reality.
Tâhâ 20:114
Al-Haqq declares that Allah is absolute truth; His existence is primordial and immutable. In Surah al-Hajj 22:62 He says: 'That is because Allah is the Truth, and what they call upon besides Him is falsehood.' The distinction between Al-Haqq and falsehood is the Quran's central theme—Allah is what is right, true, and real; all else is shadow. The servant who reflects on this name lives and speaks the truth—not deceived by the fleeting sweetness of lies and falsehood. 'Truth has come and falsehood has perished; indeed falsehood is bound to perish' (Al-Isra' 17:81)—this verse is the believer's morale until the Day of Judgment.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Hold to truthfulness, for truthfulness leads to virtue, and virtue leads to Paradise. If a person persists in truthfulness, he is recorded with Allah as a truthful one (siddiq).'
