Al-Qahhar
The One who prevails over all things and subjects every creature to His irresistible will.
Ra'd 13:16
Al-Qahhar declares that Allah holds all creation under His will and command—no force can oppose Him. Kings, empires, and even stars are fleeting before His decree. The Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged the saying 'There is no power and no strength except by Allah' and taught that this phrase is among the treasures of paradise. The servant who invokes Al-Qahhar remembers that the strength of tyrants is temporary and that true sovereignty belongs only to Allah—this awareness grants the courage to surrender to Him without bowing to oppressors, while also disciplining the rebellious self.
Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me: 'Shall I point you to a treasure from the treasures of paradise? La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (there is no power and no strength except by Allah).'
