الْمُعِيدُ
Al-Mu'id
The One who will bring back creation after death, restoring all things to existence once more.
Burûc 85:13
Al-Mu'id declares that Allah resurrects everything He has created after its death, restoring it in the Hereafter. Al-Mubdi' and Al-Mu'id are held together: first the original creation, then the re-raising. In Surah al-Buruj 85:13 it is said: 'He originates and brings back.' The servant who reflects on this name internalizes that a new life after death is a near reality—their belief in the Hereafter stands unshaken in the heart. Even when grieving for a loved one who has departed this world, the name Al-Mu'id consoles them: the parting is not eternal.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'People will be raised on the Day of Resurrection naked and uncircumcised. The first to be clothed will be Ibrahim.'
