الْوَارِثُ
Al-Warith
The One who remains after all things perish, the ultimate inheritor of all that has ever existed.
Hicr 15:23
Al-Warith declares that Allah is the true heir of all beings—after all the perishing ones, He remains as the sole owner. In Surah al-Hijr 15:23 He says: 'Indeed, We give life and cause death; and We are the inheritors.' People die leaving things to their heirs; but Allah does not die, and the true heir is He. The servant who reflects on this name realizes that the true owner of what they accumulated is Allah—they know they hold no real claim over the property they grip tightly. This awareness cleanses sicknesses like envy and stinginess.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Three things accompany the dead; two return and one remains: his family and wealth return, his deeds remain with him.'
