Nasr

Surah An-Nasr is the 110th surah of the Quran; it consists of three verses and addresses divine help, victory, and the etiquette of triumph. It announces that when Allah's help and the conquest come, people will enter His religion in throngs—and at that very moment the Prophet is commanded to glorify his Lord with praise and to seek His forgiveness. Leading Companions understood the surah as a sign that the Prophet's mission was complete and his death was near. Its backdrop is the conquest of Mecca and the subsequent entry of the Arab tribes into Islam in great numbers.

Its themes are divine aid, conquest, and the morality of victory. Verses 110:1-2 describe Allah's help arriving and people embracing the faith in multitudes: triumph is the fruit of divine support, not human power. Verse 110:3 then commands not celebration but praise, glorification, and seeking forgiveness—even at the summit of success the servant is to remember his shortcomings. In the exegetical tradition the surah also carries an intimation of farewell, marking the completion of the Prophet's mission.
